The latest creation by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava was opened in Valencia yesterday.
Called the Assut d’Or, the bridge crosses the old Turia River bed near the City of Arts and Sciences, is 180 metres long and has three lanes of traffic on either side.

Irish low cost Ryanair recently announced it was shutting its Valencia hub and shedding routes. Thousands of expats have been affected as flights to and from Valencia were cancelled. The company promised to refund bookings.
